One of the most important people in your life is about to tie the knot with their special someone and you’ve been invited to share in that day.
But what do you wear?
I’ll share of few of my personal experiences and some of my favorite choices while working events and attending that unique moment.
You’ll want to be sure that you’re comfortable in what you choose to wear, nothing is worse than feeling like you’re suffocating because of a tight tie or having to find a new notch in your belt to hold your pants up. Often times if you’re just an attendee a simple dress shirt and slacks are perfect!
You can always dress it up some and wear a tie but it’s definitely not required.
If you’re anything like me, you tend to go all out when it comes to dressing up. Not only do I find the dress slacks and the tie but there have been a few instances that I’ll wear a suit that matches the wedding colors or wear a bright pink tuxedo to keep a promise to a friend!
“A well-tied tie is the first serious step in life.”
– Oscar Wilde
I have taken a liking to matching the wedding colors when it comes to coordinating but I absolutely do not want to step on the toes of the lovebirds so asking permission is a must!
Attire truly depends on the event and I personally feel relief being able to either stick with the wedding colors or wearing a simple suit that still has my own personal flair while coordinating. Building your own arsenal of dress shirts and ties allows you to put your own unique style to your outfit while still dressing properly for the occasion.
Be it a suit and tie or a simple dress shirt and slacks, there is always an outfit suitable for any event. I’ll leave you with this, don’t stick to one theme or to the same color scheme, be adventurous and step out of your comfort zone!
Dressing well is a form of good manners.”
– Tom Ford
