Sunflowers and Navy Blue
Sunflowers and Navy Blue
Sure to be the hottest fall wedding trend. We adore the variety of ways we have seen this trend displayed from classy to homey. The way that the yellow pops against the blue is everything gorgeous about fall and can be worked into several themes. Nautical, navy velvet, and country themed weddings can all be brightened up and centered around big, beautiful sunflowers. They make a simple, elegant display no matter what vessel they are placed in and are sure to bring smiles to your guest’s faces.

Teal & White Attire
I really like the Teal and White combination as of late, something about the two together brings on a sense of calm and tranquility.
I really like the Teal and White combination as of late, something about the two together brings on a sense of calm and tranquility. They also compliment one another and bring definition and contrast. Maybe it’s a white shirt with a teal vest? Or teal cumberbund and bow tie with a white kerchief. I for one am looking forward to the excuse to experiment with this dynamic duo of colors!

Mismatched table settings
There is something whimsical about walking up to a table and noticing all the place settings are mixed and matched. There is so much fun you can have when you give yourself an excuse to be flexible. Not to mention you could save money on rentals and borrow or collect your dishes from cherished friends and family. Different shapes, colors, and design all coming from loved ones can give your event a comforting, homey feel and still be elegant when styled right!

Over the top moon shaped displays
The extra plus to using this round shape instead of a traditional arch is you can tie your table displays to it in so many unique ways or even mimic it with your lighting displays.
This out of this world trend in arches can be done with compostable materials, non-traditional florals, or just over the top elegance and is always beautiful. My personal faves have been done in Pampas grass, white and purple roses, and even one that was draped in greenery with a crescent of yellow flowers in the center. The extra plus to using this round shape instead of a traditional arch is you can tie your table displays to it in so many unique ways or even mimic it with your lighting displays. Giving your traditional arch pictures a classy fresh edge.

Hand-painting and metallics on cakes
I have had my eye on so many fun trends this year when it comes to sweets but my two favorites right now are Metallics and Hand-painted or both! Love seeing a little shimmer in a wedding why not bring it all the way into the cake? I love seeing it brushed on and even love seeing the gold leaf pop in with some other colors. Metallic on white are stunning as well! I have also been seeing cake artist painting right on the cake! These can be florals, fun designs, and even full watercolor paintings right on the frosting! Not to mention the texture you can get if you paint with colored frosting!

Gifting your groomsmen with something as simple as an engraved tie clip or maybe going beyond that and sending them a bottle of their favorite whiskey with a note “Be my groomsmen for this thing?”
Another one of my favorites would have to be giving groomsmen gifts. What a concept right? Showing appreciation to the men who have agreed to stand at your side during one of the biggest days of your life. Gifting your groomsmen with something as simple as an engraved tie clip or maybe going beyond that and sending them a bottle of their favorite whiskey with a note “Be my groomsmen for this thing?” Letting these men know you’re grateful for not only standing in but that you appreciate all they have done for you, this goes a long way.

Edgy, rich colors
I am literally living for dark Victorian themes full of rich reds, deep burgundies, and purples. I love classic but unique uses of dark browns, lush forest greens, and yes even grey and black. It gives everything a vintage, mysterious vibe and I am personally all for it. Especially paired with old lace, vintage display furniture or with rich textures like velvet.
